Deheng Song
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the IIHE, Université libre de Bruxelles and a member of the IceCube Collaboration, where I work on dark matter searches using astrophysical neutrinos.
More broadly, my research focuses on dark matter indirect detection, Galactic diffuse emission, and gamma-ray emission from millisecond pulsars. Prior to joining ULB, I held postdoctoral positions at Tokyo Metropolitan University and the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics at Kyoto University, and I was a visiting scholar at Fermilab. I earned my PhD in Physics from Virginia Tech.
Research Focus
- Dark matter indirect detection with gamma-ray and neutrino observations
- Galactic Centre gamma-ray excess
- Millisecond pulsars in the Galactic bulge, globular clusters, and dwarf galaxies
